Approximately 800 animals of 200 species call the 122-acre Birmingham Zoo home, including elephants, lions, orangutans, crowned cranes, pythons and endangered species from six continents.

Monday – Sunday: 9am to 5pm
Christmas Eve hours: 9am to 1pm
Closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day

Adults – $14*
Children 2 – 12 years old – $9*
Senior Citizens 65 years+ – $9*
*Plus tax
Admission is half-price every Tuesday.

• Please do not submit anything you do not wish to be broadcast to the general public, as the content of all comments is immediately released into a public domain.
The Zoo reserves the right to delete any comment that violates this policy. Repeated violations of the Zoo’s comment policy may cause the author to be blocked from the Zoo’s Facebook page.
